Graphene‐Based Wearable Textile Triboelectric Nanogenerators and Biomechanical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a wearable textile‐based triboelectric nanogenerator (T‐TENG) using sprayed graphene enhanced with a PVA adhesion layer. The graphene‐based electrode demonstrates high electrical conductivity and robustness to multiple bends. The fabricated T‐TENG provides stable and efficient output, with strong responsiveness to biomotion.

Galinstan Liquid Metal/Polyurethane Composite as a Multifunctional Stretchable Electrode and Piezoresistive Strain Sensor With Minimal Drift

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Liquid metal additives are processed in elastomer host resulting in highly conductive and stretchable composites. The material functions as a piezoresistive sensor with minimal drift, low stiffness, and enhanced operating range. The film can replace wires to charge a mobile phone at ∼350% strain and monitors bodily motion in real‐time via a portable ...

Fully 3D‐Printed Wave‐Wound Electromagnetic Motors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents the first fully 3D‐printed wave‐wound electromagnetic motors, which are created using conductive nanoparticle inks, carbon‐filled nylon polymers, and surface mount components. These motors can achieve a stall torque of 7.62N·mmA−1$7.62 \nobreakspace N{\cdot }mm A^{-1}$ and efficiency of 28.2 %, which approaches the performance of ...

METHODOLOGY FOR DETERMINING THE COEFFICIENTS OF AERODYNAMIC DRAG AND ROLLING RESISTANCE OF ROAD TRAIN TIRES IN COASTING MODE

open access: yesMechanics of Machines, Mechanisms and Materials
To analyze the fuel balance and optimize the fuel efficiency indicators of wheeled vehicles (WVs) using mathematical models, developers require a large number of design parameters as input data. Among them are losses in the transmission, aerodynamic drag of the WVs and tire rolling resistance. Many methods are developed to investigate these parameters,
