The Calpurnii in the Roman Province of Dalmatia

A number of epigraphic monuments from the Roman province of Dalmatia mention the Calpurnii, either members of the Roman senatorial family Calpurnii Pisones or local provincial inhabitants. The name is very frequent among the enfranchised natives of Liburnia, which is commonly connected to the activities of Calpurnii Pisones.
