Linker Symmetry Lowering as a Strategy to Tune Electronic Properties in Two‐Dimensional Conductive MOFs

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We present a two‐dimensional conductive metal‐organic framework (2D cMOF) constructed from an organic linker with lower symmetry than those commonly used in related systems. The resulting reduction in lattice symmetry lifts band degeneracies, reshapes the electronic structure, and opens a larger band gap.
