Progress of room temperature magnetic refrigeration technology
refrigeration technology. It has been considered as one of promising alternatives to traditional vapor compression refrigeration technology. Magnetic refrigeration, in which solid magnetic materials instead of gaseous refrigerants are used, is based on the magnetocaloric effect.

Magnetic Refrigeration Technology at Room Temperature
Modern society largely depends on readily available refrigeration methods. Up till now, the conventional vapor compression refrigerators have been mainly used for refrigeration applications. Nonetheless, the conventional refrigerators – based on gas compression and expansion – are not very efficient because the refrigeration accounts for 25% of ...

Investigation of the triple peak magnetocaloric effects of Ni45Mn44Sn11 ribbons
The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of Ni45Mn44Sn11 ribbons is simulated, with temperatures ranging from nearly 0 K to 313 K. The MCE of these ribbons exhibits triple peak behavior.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.
