Quantifying Structure–Property Relationships in Ferroelectric Polymers Toward High‐Performance Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we establish a quantitative relationship between the electrostriction coefficient (Q33) of FRPs and their interplanar spacing (d): Q33 = 100(Δd/d0+1) × Q33(s). Using this model, we fabricated high‐performance soft robots, including a biomimetic crawler (with a speed of 27 cm/s) and a butterfly (with a thrust‐to‐weight ratio of 0.71).

Growth and Magnetocaloric Properties of Co(NH4)2(SO4)2·6H2O Crystal

open access: yesCrystals
Co(NH4)2(SO4)2·6H2O single crystal was grown via slow solvent evaporation at room temperature. The magnetic and magnetocaloric properties were investigated. The results show that Co(NH4)2(SO4)2·6H2O exhibits paramagnetic behavior across 2–300 K.

Ultra‐Radiostable Covalent Conformationally Interlocked Networks Enabling a Universal Radiometal‐Labeling Platform for Cancer Radioembolization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated poly(imide dioxime)‐based microspheres establish a radiometal coordination‐driven conformational interlocked network with ultra‐high radiostability. This platform enables low‐temperature, multi‐radionuclide labeling for SPECT/PET/MRI imaging and radionuclide therapy. Mechanistic insights from EXAFS and DFT reveal enhanced stability, while in

MAGNETIC REFRIGERATORS FOR USE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND BELOW

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1978
Magnetic Carnot cycle refrigerators should be capable of pumping heat efficiently and inexpensively from liquid helium temperatures to liquid hydrogen temperatures. At higher temperatures, up to room temperature, Stirling cycle devices using ferromagnets are feasible.

SPICE‐Compatible Compact Modeling of Cuprate‐Based Memristors Across a Wide Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided compact model for YBCO memristors is introduced, incorporating carrier trapping, field‐induced detrapping, and a differential balance equation to describe their switching dynamics. The model is compared with experiments and implemented in LTspice, allowing realistic circuit‐level simulations.

Structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Ni43Mn46-xFexSn11 (x = 0, 6, 8, 10) alloys

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
The structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Ni43Mn46-xFexSn11 alloys prepared using arc melting and annealing have been investigated. The room temperature x-ray diffraction patterns show that the cubic austenite phase is the main phase in ...

Rare‐Earth Yttrium Doping Advances High‐Performance AgSbTe2 Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Y‐doped AgSbTe2 achieves band and microstructure co‐optimization, with coherent Y‐Ag2Te interfaces enhancing phonon scattering and reducing lattice thermal conductivity to 0.26 W m−1 K−1. Combined with valence‐band broadening and increased carrier concentration, this yields ZT ≈ 2 at 623 K, average ZT = 1.5, and 7.3 % conversion efficiency of a single ...

Microfluidic Valve‐Integrated Garment for Smooth Sequential Gradient Mechanotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We present a soft wearable sleeve that delivers smooth, gap‐free compression using overlapping air‐filled actuators and tiny microfluidic valves. The system reduces bulk, lowers power needs, and uses a smartphone‐sized control box. It can provide sequential gradient compression, gradient pressure holding, and fast deflation, supporting more portable ...
