CLASSIFICATION OF TWENTY‐SIX CHONDRITES FROM ROOSEVELT COUNTY, NEW MEXICO
Meteoritics, 1987Twenty‐six of the fifty‐seven stone meteorites listed in Huss (1979) from Roosevelt County, New Mexico, have been classified in the present study. Microprobe analyses indicate 15 H type, 9 L type and 2 LL type chondrites. Based on compositional, textural, and locational comparisons, as many as 10 chondrites may be paired to three distinct falls.

Classification of five new chondrite finds from Roosevelt County, New Mexico
Meteoritics, 1990Abstract— Five small, weathered meteorites recovered from Roosevelt County, New Mexico, USA, are called Roosevelt County 066–070. Based on optical microscopy and electron microprobe analysis of mafic minerals, RC 066–070 are classified as L5a chondrites. RC 068 and 069 are tentatively paired. RC 066 and RC 067 are not paired with RC 068 and RC 069.

RECOVERY AND CLASSIFICATION OF THIRTY NEW METEORITES FROM ROOSEVELT COUNTY, NEW MEXICO
Meteoritics, 1986We report the discovery and classification of 30 new meteorites found in or close to Roosevelt County, New Mexico, including two H3 chondrites and a ureilite; the others are equilibrated ordinary chondrites. Over 160 meteorites representing at least 100 different falls have been recovered from this region, mostly from wind blowout areas.

AAPG Bulletin, 1985The Roosevelt positive is bounded on the south by the petroliferous Northwest Shelf province; the Tucumcari basin lies to the north. The current Fusselman-Cisco play was ignited in June 1978, by discovery of South Peterson-Fusselman field by Enserch in T5S, R33E. The discovery well had produced over 560,000 bbl of oil to January 1, 1984.
