Fault Detection and Classification in Transmission Line Using Wavelet Transform and ANN [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In recent years, there is an increased interest in fault classification algorithms. The reason, behind this interest is the escalating power demand and multiple interconnections of utilities in grid.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

“Smart agriculture: a climate-driven approach to modelling and forecasting fall armyworm populations in maize using machine learning algorithms”

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
The fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) poses a significant threat to global maize production owing to its rapid life cycle, extensive host range, and strong dispersal capabilities. We developed a forecasting system for fall armyworm outbreaks over one

Nonparametric Kernel estimation of annual maximum stream flow quantiles. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A nonparametric kernel methods is proposed and evaluated performance for estimating annual maximum stream flow quantiles. The bandwidth of the estimator is estimated by using an optimal technique and a cross-validation technique.

Foveation-based content adaptive root mean squared error for video quality assessment

open access: yesMultimedia Tools and Applications, 2017
When the video is compressed and transmitted over heterogeneous networks, it is necessary to ensure the satisfying quality for the end user. Since human observers are the end users of video applications, it is very important that the human visual system (HVS) characteristics are taken into account during the video quality evaluation.

Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Support Vector Machine to Predict Electricity Consumption in the Energy Management Laboratory

open access: yesJurnal RESTI (Rekayasa Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi), 2021
Predicted electricity consumption is needed to perform energy management. Electricity consumption prediction is also very important in the development of intelligent power grids and advanced electrification network information.

Fuzzification of quantitative data to predict tumour size of colorectal cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Regression analysis has become more popular among researchers as a standard tool in analyzing data. This paper used fuzzy linear regression model (FLRM) to predict tumour size of colorectal cancer (CRC) data in Malaysia.

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Constraining Aerosol Vertical Profile in the Boundary Layer Using Hyperspectral Measurements of Oxygen Absorption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This study attempts to infer aerosol vertical structure in the urban boundary layer using passive hyperspectral measurements. A spectral sorting technique is developed to retrieve total aerosol optical depth (AOD) and effective aerosol layer height (ALH)
