Root Canal Irrigants

Journal of Endodontics, 2006
Local wound debridement in the diseased pulp space is the main step in root canal treatment to prevent the tooth from being a source of infection. In this review article, the specifics of the pulpal microenvironment and the resulting requirements for irrigating solutions are spelled out.

Endosonics in curved root canals

Journal of Endodontics, 1985
This study assessed whether or not endosonic instrumentation straightened curved root canals. Fiftyone curved canals in extracted human teeth were enlarged by hand until a size 15 endosonic file fit to working length. Preoperative radiographs were made with size 15 files in place.

Asymmetry of the root canal foramen

International Endodontic Journal, 1992
SummaryDeviation of the major apical foramen from the anatomical root apex is a recognized phenomenon. To determine the frequency, position and mean distance of the major apical foramen from the anatomical root apex, 230 roots of permanent teeth were examined stereo‐microscopically and radiographically.

Obturation of the root canal system

Dental Clinics of North America, 2004
With all the technology that has been introduced in endodontics, there are now several ways to instrument and obturate root canals. Practitioners often develop their own "hybrid" technique after sharing ideas with several colleagues. The purpose of this article is to describe a technique of obturation, hoping that others may incorporate some aspects ...

Evaluation of root canal sealer filling quality using a single-cone technique in oval shaped canals: An In vitro Micro-CT study.

Scanning, 2016
The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the presence of voids in oval root canals filled with different root canal sealers (EndoSequence BC Sealer, Smartpaste bio, ActiV GP) and to compare those with root canals filled with AH Plus sealer using

Root Canal Catheterization

2016
The ultimate goal of endodontic treatment is the eradication of microorganisms, which lead to endodontic disease. Ultimately a triad approach to treating dental pathology in endodontics results. They are shaping, cleaning, and disinfection via irrigation and finally obturation.
