Endodontic management of a maxillary lateral incisor with an unusual root dilaceration diagnosed with cone beam computed tomography

open access: yesSaudi Endodontic Journal, 2017
Anterior teeth may have aberrant anatomical variations in the roots and root canals. Root dilaceration is an anomaly characterized by the displacement of the root of a tooth from its normal alignment with the crown which may be a consequence of injury ...

STRATIFIED ADAPTATION: Infrastructure, Elevation, and Cascading Floods in the Urban Mekong Delta

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban and Regional Research, EarlyView.
Abstract Flood‐prone cities in the global South are increasingly the target of infrastructure projects aimed at building climate ‘resilience’. At the same time, residents of these cities take adaptation to flooding into their own hands. In this article we examine the interrelationship between household‐scale and urban‐scale flood mitigation projects in

Extinction Debt Paid Off: The Demise of the European Polecat (Mustela putorius) in NE Iberia

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
We studied a vanishing polecat population for a decade, until its ultimate demise, using camera trap and roadkill data, landscape descriptors and dietary and toxicological analyses.Polecat favoured farmland and avoided forests and water bodies occupied by the invasive American mink.

Evaluation of Relative Abundance Techniques (RATs) for Monitoring Rodent Abundance and Predicting Rodent Damage in Rice Agroecosystems

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
Among the different relative abundance techniques, giving‐up density (GUD) indices during the early and maximum tillering stages of rice development, and burrow counts during post‐harvest showed the highest correlation with cumulative tiller damage caused by rodents.

Rise of the south: How Arab‐led maritime trade transformed China, 671–1371 CE

open access: yesAsia‐Pacific Economic History Review, Volume 65, Issue 1, Page 3-38, March 2025.
Abstract China's center of socioeconomic activities was in the North prior to the Tang dynasty but is in the South today. Impact of Chelators on FAC Following Interaction With NaOCl: A Focused Evidence Synthesis Based on a Systematic Search

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This systematic review following PRISMA guidelines evaluated the effects of endodontic chelators on free available chlorine (FAC) in sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), with emphasis on the influence of concentration, contact time, temperature, and pH. Risk of bias was assessed using the Quality Assessment Tool for In Vitro Studies (QUIN).

Is Cone‐Beam CT Reliable for Apical Foramen Assessment? A Micro‐CT–Referenced Study

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of two cone‐beam CT (CBCT) dose protocols for identifying the number and trajectory deviation of apical foramina. Forty lower molars were scanned in Micro‐CT. Thereafter, all teeth were inserted into the mandible sockets and a titanium implant and an endodontically treated tooth with a cobalt ...
