Complications During Root Canal Irrigation – Literature Review and Case Reports
The literature concerning the aetiology, symptomatology and therapy of complications during root canal irrigation is reviewed. Three cases of inadvertent injection of sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide beyond the root apex are presented.

Passive Ultrasonic Irrigation of the Root Canal: A Review of the Literature [PDF]
Ultrasonic irrigation of the root canal can be performed with or without simultaneous ultrasonic instrumentation. When canal shaping is not undertaken the term passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) can be used to describe the technique.

Surface Tension of Root Canal Irrigants
Journal of Endodontics, 2000The aim of this study was to evaluate the surface tension values of established and potential endodontic irrigants to which a surface active agent had not been added. Additionally, Cetredixine, a surfactant-containing 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate solution, was included in the measurements.

Spreading of root canal irrigants on root dentine
Australian Endodontic Journal, 2007AbstractThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the spreading of root canal irrigants on human root dentine. The spreading of various solutions on dentine surfaces was measured after pre‐treatment with various conditional solutions. Seven experimental groups were set based on the combination of conditioning solution‐test solution: none‐distilled ...
