Morphology of root canals in lower human premolars

open access: yesNigerian Medical Journal, 2012
The knowledge of the root canal morphology and the possible anatomical variations of mandibular premolars are important for the successful endodontic treatment of such cases. The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of two or three root canals in extracted first and second mandibular premolars which were collected from health centers in ...

Clustomesogen Showing Sub‐Zero Liquid Crystal Properties: Supramolecular Assembly Between Cs2[Mo6Ii8(OCOC2F5)6] and Hexaethylenoxide Containing Mesogenic Dimers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Associating a red‐NIR phosphorescent octahedral hexanuclear molybdenum cluster compound with hexaethyleneoxide chains bearing mesogenic units on both ends leads to an emissive hybrid liquid crystal showing mesomorphism on a very unusual temperature range down to −25°C.

Engineered Heparinized GQDS/HPEI–Polyamide Membrane for Bilirubin Removal via One Step Anti Coagulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A multifunctional heparinized polyamide membrane embedded with graphene quantum dots (GQDs) and hyperbranched polyethyleneimine (HPEI) is engineered for efficient bilirubin removal via a one‐step anticoagulation–adsorption process. The membrane demonstrates enhanced hemocompatibility, prolonged clotting times, and high bilirubin adsorption capacity ...

Root canal morphology of the maxillary first premolar

open access: yesThe Journal of the American Dental Association, 1979
Four hundred maxillary first premolars were decalcified, injected with dye, cleared, and studied. The canal configurations were categorized as: 26% had one canal, 69% had two canals, and 5% had three canals at the apex. The relationship of canal configuration to number of roots per tooth was determined.

Exploring the Potential of Zero‐Dimensional Carbon Nanomaterials in Photoluminescent, Electrochemiluminescent and Electrochemical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical

Endodontic Management of a Maxillary First Molar with Two Palatal Canals and a Single Buccal Canal: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry, 2012
Thorough knowledge of root canal morphology is essential for the endodontic therapy. There are rare variations in canal number and configuration in maxillary molars, which could affect treatment outcome. This paper presents the endodontic management of a

Crack Repair in Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics Using an Ultraviolet Ultrafast Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The study proposes an ultrafast ultraviolet laser approach to repair hidden tooth cracks, which has been preliminarily validated on HAP. Moreover, this technique aims to strengthen the native enamel structure rather than introducing a foreign filling material.
