Resin Materials for Root Canal Obturation
Dental Clinics of North America, 2010With the appearance of more in vivo and ex vivo publications, methacrylate based resin sealers are becoming more popular in endodontics. Their ease of use and favorable clinical performance offer an attractive alternative to conventional endodontics. This article reviews the development of resin-based sealers and biocompatibility tests.

Retrograde instrumentation and obturation of the root canal space
Journal of Endodontics, 1983A treatment approach is described combining retrograde biomechanical instrumentation with retrograde obturation of the root canal space prior to insertion of a retrograde filling material in the apical terminus of the canal.

Obturation of the root canal system
Dental Clinics of North America, 2004With all the technology that has been introduced in endodontics, there are now several ways to instrument and obturate root canals. Practitioners often develop their own "hybrid" technique after sharing ideas with several colleagues. The purpose of this article is to describe a technique of obturation, hoping that others may incorporate some aspects ...

The obturation of the entire root canal with a dowel crown
Journal of Endodontics, 1980Teeth with very short roots, either as a result of apical resorption or injudicious apicoectomy, present a difficult treatment problem when a dowel-retained crown has to be constructed, as there is insufficient space for both an adequate root filling and a dowel of adequate length.

Bacterial Microleakage of Barrier Materials in Obturated Root Canals
Journal of Endodontics, 2006The bacterial microleakage of four current restorative materials (glass ionomer cement, polycarboxylate cement, resin modified glass ionomer cement, and flowable composite resin) used as a base over obturated root canals were evaluated during a 5-month period. Sixty single-rooted mandibular premolars were obturated with cold lateral compaction of gutta-

Sealer distribution in root canals obturated by three techniques
International Endodontic Journal, 2000AbstractAimThe aim of this study was to observe sealer distribution in root canals filled by different root filling techniques.MethodologyAH26 (0.05 mL) dyed with carbon black powder was placed into the prepared root canals of maxillary central incisors using a lentulo spiral. Thereafter the canals were obturated using three different gutta‐percha root‐

Comparison of conventional root canal obturation techniques with thermafil obturators
Journal of Endodontics, 1992This study compared microleakage of Thermafil Obturators to the single cone technique in Lexan blocks simulating root canals (n = 20) stained with Prussian blue dye. The microleakage of Thermafil and laterally condensed extracted human teeth was also investigated after the teeth were stained with India ink or Prussian blue dye over 1- or 2-wk dye ...
