Physical Properties of 5 Root Canal Sealers
Journal of Endodontics, 2013The aim of this study was to evaluate the pH change, viscosity and other physical properties of 2 novel root canal sealers (MTA Fillapex and Endosequence BC) in comparison with 2 epoxy resin-based sealers (AH Plus and ThermaSeal), a silicone-based sealer (GuttaFlow), and a zinc oxide-eugenol-based sealer (Pulp Canal Sealer).ISO 6876/2001 specifications

Cytotoxicity evaluation of six root canal sealers
Journal of Endodontics, 1995Cell cultures of human gingival fibroblasts obtained from healthy patients were used to evaluate the toxicity of six different endodontic cements: AH-26, Pulp Canal Sealer, Rocanal-R2, Rocanal-R3, Bioseal, and Endomethasone. The toxicity was determined by measuring spectrophotometrically at 405 nm the colorimetric reaction of N-acetyl-beta ...

Solubility of Root Canal Sealers: A Comparative Study
The International Journal of Artificial Organs, 2010Introduction Root canal sealers used in odontological applications are capable of providing an apical seal, thus inhibiting potential bacterial penetration into the periradicular tissues. Since insolubility is the ideal characteristic for a root canal sealer material, in dentistry the sealability of the material depends on its solubility.

Characterization of Leachates from 6 Root Canal Sealers
Journal of Endodontics, 2019The aim of this study was to evaluate 6 different endodontic sealers by characterizing their leachates and comparing their solubility in water over a 4-week period. The solubility of each sealer (Apexit Plus [Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein], MTA Fillapex [Angelus Dental, Londrina, Brazil], AH Plus [Dentsply DeTrey, Konstanz, Germany ...

Antibacterial activity of root canal sealers [PDF]
The aim of this study is to determine antibacterial activity of the root canal sealers in direct contact with Eschericia coli, Serattia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. The IRM and Epiphany had the greatest antibacterial efficacy against E.coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus and S. marcescens.

Cytotoxicity of Three Root Canal Sealers
Journal of dental research, 2003The objective of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxicity of three commercialy aviable root canal sealers: APEXIT, AH PLUS and KETAC-ENDO by using mouse L929 fibroblasts.Freshly mixed sealers, prepared according to the manufacturers' directions, were placed on teflon discs and put on the well bottom of a 12-well plate.
