Subepithelial Connective Tissue Graft Technique for Root Coverage
Journal of Periodontology, 1985This article describes the use of the subepithelial connective tissue graft as a donor source for root coverage. The success of these grafts has been attributed to the double‐blood supply at the recipient site from the underlying connective tissue base and the overlying recipient flap.

A combined flap for root coverage.
The International journal of periodontics & restorative dentistry, 1999A new mucogingival surgical technique for root coverage is proposed. Two kinds of flaps were obtained from the tissue surrounding the recession: the first, a partial thickness-epithelial connective flap, was designed to cover the second flap, which was a connective double-papilla flap positioned directly on the root surface.
