Predictable root recession coverage.
The New York state dental journal, 2006Gingival recession, exposure of the tooth's root, is undesirable and, in many situations, contrary to normal physiology. Today's root coverage is predictable. With the use of an acellular dermal matrix membrane (Fasciablast), we can achieve a new blood supply and predictable coverage, with no second surgical procedure.

Root coverage techniques: a review.
The Journal of the Western Society of Periodontology/Periodontal abstracts, 1996Gingival recession with the exposure of root surfaces is a significant treatment problem facing the clinician. Controversy relative to treatment continues and centers primarily around the need for gingival width augmentation. In 1972, Lang and Löe advanced the concept that a true minimal width of keratinized gingival tissue was necessary for health ...

A combined flap for root coverage.
The International journal of periodontics & restorative dentistry, 1999A new mucogingival surgical technique for root coverage is proposed. Two kinds of flaps were obtained from the tissue surrounding the recession: the first, a partial thickness-epithelial connective flap, was designed to cover the second flap, which was a connective double-papilla flap positioned directly on the root surface.

Root coverage: combined surgical procedures.
Compendium of continuing education in dentistry (Jamesburg, N.J. : 1995), 1998A number of surgical procedures have therapeutic goals to restore the gingival tissue to the level of the cementoenamel junction with attachment of soft tissue to the previously exposed root surfaces. These procedures are indicated where esthetic needs, root sensitivity, or shallow carious lesions involve the root surfaces.

Root coverage with enamel matrix derivatives.
Compendium of continuing education in dentistry (Jamesburg, N.J. : 1995), 2002Different root coverage procedures have been used to treat cases of gingival recession defects involving single or multiple exposed root surfaces. A therapeutic advantage may be gained if periodontal regeneration is obtained in addition to coverage of the root with gingiva.
