The effect of manganese(II) excess on growth and antioxidant status of barley seedlings
Manganese belongs to the group of heavy metals, which at high concentrations can have a negative effect on plant development. Typical soils of the Kirov region are acid podzolic and sod-podzolic soils, which are characterized by high content of manganese

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Because windbreaks are planted for sustainable agriculture but may lower crop yields near them due to competition, suitable competition mitigation methods must be applied at the windbreak-crop interface to increase crop yields.

CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Note on the smallest root of the independence polynomial
One can define the independence polynomial of a graph G as follows. Let i(k)(G) denote the number of independent sets of size k of G, where i(0)(G) = 1. Then the independence polynomial of G is I(G,x) = Sigma(n)(k=0)(-1)(k)i(k)(G)x(k).

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Contemporary crop management practices are labor, water, and energy inefficient. Identifying a sustainable, productive, and resource-efficient alternate crop production system to the present crop management system is crucial.

Lengths of paths in rooted trees
We provide formulas for generating functions of many types of paths in various rooted tree structures. We compute the $k$th moment of the generating functions for various types of vertical paths. In two specific familes of trees we find exact closed formulas for expectations and their asymptotic values.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Bachofen-Shoot-and-Root-measurements
This file contains all measurements: shoot and root biomass, shoot height, vertical root length. All other variables (root biomass fraction, specific shoot height, specific vertical root length) are derived from this data as described in the ...
