Most existing Collaborative Filtering (CF) algorithms predict a rating as the preference of an active user toward a given item, which is always a decimal fraction. Meanwhile, the actual ratings in most data sets are integers.

Colloquium: Quantum root-mean-square error and measurement uncertainty relations [PDF]
Recent years have witnessed a controversy over Heisenberg's famous error-disturbance relation. Here we resolve the conflict by way of an analysis of the possible conceptualizations of measurement error and disturbance in quantum mechanics. We discuss two

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Best possible inequalities between generalized logarithmic mean and weighted geometric mean of geometric, square-root, and root-square means [PDF]
Summary: We establish two optimal double inequalities among generalized logarithmic mean \(L_p(a,b)\), geometric mean \(G(a,b)\), square-root \(N(a,b)\), and root-square mean \(S(a,b)\).

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Digital Root-mean-square Signal Meter [PDF]
This paper introduces a meter of the root-mean-square value of deterministic and stochastic signals of an arbitrary shape that are generated over the set time interval. Such a meter involves only the minimum number of simple arithmetic operations to obtain results, and it ensures a high degree of measurement accuracy.
