Bifunctional ZnO‐containing orthosilicophosphate glasses (SPGs) composed mainly of orthotetrahedral groups with the unique glass network structure without long‐chain units are prepared via melt‐quenching. The glasses exhibit excellent antibacterial activity and upregulate the expression of osteogenic markers by releasing inorganic ions.

Adverse effects of orthodontic treatment: A clinical perspective
Orthodontic treatment is associated with a number of adverse effects, such as root resorption, pain, pulpal changes, periodontal disease, and temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD). Orthodontists should be aware of these effects and associated risk factors.

Beyond Bioactive Glass Composition: Using Morphology to Improve in Vitro and in Vivo Performance
Bioactive glasses can easily be shaped into granules, spheres, discs, fibers, or three‐dimensional scaffolds. The resulting morphology not only affects handling properties; it has a direct influence on various glass properties, including results of acellular immersion experiments or in vitro studies with cells or bacteria, but also on in vivo ...

Root resorption is a process that leads to the loss of hard tissues of the tooth. It can either be physiologic or pathologic in origin. Depending on the site of the lesion it can be internal root resorption (IRR) or external root resorption (ERR). In this article internal root resorption is mainly focused.

Osteoporosis from long‐term glucocorticoid (GIOP) use elevates susceptibility to fracture. This study shows GCs impair ascorbic acid (AA) metabolism in osteoblasts, collagen synthesis and extracellular matrix integrity. AA enhanced collagen biochemical and mechanical properties and restored osteoblast and endothelial function. These findings underscore

Sharp Curvature of Premolar Resulting in External Apical Root Resorption of the Neighbouring Molar
This case report describes an external apical root resorption resulted from the unusual root morphology of the neighbouring tooth. A 28-year-old female was referred to the department of endodontics with a complaint of intense pain in her maxillary second
