Measurement of root porosity (volume of root air space
Environmental and Experimental Botany, 1988Abstract Root research can benefit under many circumstances from determination of the % fraction of root volume occupied by air (root porosity). Root porosity provides an indication of root reaction or adaptability to environments with insufficient oxygen availability.

Retrograde instrumentation and obturation of the root canal space
Journal of Endodontics, 1983A treatment approach is described combining retrograde biomechanical instrumentation with retrograde obturation of the root canal space prior to insertion of a retrograde filling material in the apical terminus of the canal.

Planting Roots, Claiming Space
NACLA Report on the Americas, 2018In the early twentieth century, the United States began to settle the arid regions of the West. At the same time, agricultural experts around the world started to develop a new agroecological zone:...

On the square root of minkowski space
Physics Letters A, 1982Abstract A vector space of eight-dimensional complex spinors ψ is constructed which is in a sense a square root of Minkowski space. The usual position, momentum and angular momentum variables of a particle of non-zero rest mass and arbitrary spin are given as expectation values with respect to ψ of appropriate 8 × 8 matrices.

Dowel space management in obstructed root canals
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1994A modified instrument developed from readily available materials to provide dentists with a multifaceted system to eliminate obstructions from root canals and provide space for a dowel core restoration is presented.

The Nuclear Roots of the Space Race
2020The creation of the first intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) by the United States Air Force and the military of the Soviet Union in the 1950s was an important prerequisite to the military and civilian space programs that soon followed. ICBMs quickly became used both as weapons and for the more peaceful purpose of launching spacecraft into earth

Relativistic square-root spaces∗
2013AbstractEinstein's derivation of the Lorentz transformation between space and time coordinates is given. The resulting relativistic kinematics of £ Lorentz spacetime and momentum-energy vectors is readily applied to practical problems by using their scalar products that are Lorentz-invariant, the same in every Lorentz frame.

Root quantity traits: a leading dimension in root trait space
New PhytologistSummary Plant resource uptake depends on the interplay between the quantity and quality of roots, yet their coordination at the community level remains poorly understood.
