ROPS Design for Pre-ROPS Tractors
Journal of Agromedicine, 1997SUMMARY Tractor overturns are the leading cause of agricultural fatalities in the United States. Many of these fatalities could be prevented if the tractor was equipped with a rollover protective structure (ROPS). Of the estimated 4.8 million tractors, 2.8 million are considered pre-ROPS tractors (tractors that were designed prior to ROPS availability).

Perinatal Risk Factors for the Retinopathy of Prematurity in Postnatal Growth and Rop Study
Ophthalmic Epidemiology, 2019Objective: To evaluate perinatal risk factors for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), in a large, broad-risk cohort of premature infants. Study design: Secondary analysis of data from the Postnatal Growth and ROP (G-ROP) Study, a retrospective cohort study

Purpose of review It is important for ophthalmologists to keep current with up-to-date recommendations for screening, treating, and follow-up of infants with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). This paper will review updated ROP Safety Net protocols and Policy Statements to stress that following risk management principles can ...

Late ROP Reactivation and Retinal Detachment in a Teenager.
Ophthalmic Surgery Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2018Exudative and tractional retinal detachments have been reported as late sequelae of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). The authors report a case of unilateral retinal detachment in a 19-year-old patient with history of peripheral ablation for ROP in the ...

Plasmids of the ColEl family provide a convenient model system for the investigation of the molecular mechanisms which regulate initiation of DNA replication in Escherichia coli. ColEl replicates in bacteria at a copy number of approximately 15. The observations that this copy number could be increased by mutagenesis and that some of these mutants are ...

Fundus fluorescein angiography is useful to evaluate the advancement and effect of treatment of ROP. The findings to focus on are: position and extent of pathologic vascular proliferation, activity of fibrovascular proliferation, angioplany of the retina, absence of capillary network of the retina, extent of photocoagulation, and stabilizing of the ...

Background and purpose Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a complex disease. We have established much of the pathophysiology of this disease including the critical roles of retinal metabolic demand and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
