Direct evidence of singlet molecular oxygen [O2 (1Δg)] production from UVA excited 6‐thioguanine
6‐Thioguanine (6‐TGua) is incorporated into DNA as a purine analogue, inhibiting cell replication. Patients treated with 6‐TGua are more prone to developing skin cancer due to the photoexcitation of 6‐TGua by UVA radiation (as illustrated in the Jablonski diagram). Upon exposure to UVA, the excited 6‐TGua generates 1O2.

Plasmon-enhanced sensitization of singlet oxygen on silver island films
The influence of the plasmonic effect of silver island films on the absorption, fluorescence and long-term luminescence of rose bengal in polyvinyl butyral films has been studied. Under the plasmon effect, the optical density of the dye increased by 3.3

Abstract Introduction Endangered fish species, such as Delta smelt (Hypomesus transpacificus), in the San Francisco Estuary are threatened by a multitude of anthropogenic stressors. Tidal wetland restoration can partially mitigate these stressors by increasing food availability of aquatic invertebrate prey, but the efficacy of restoration remains ...
