The study of influence of nitrogen containing rosin adducts derivatives on technical properties of elastomeric compounds [PDF]
The following substances were used as additives: maleated rosin modified with oleic acid, containing maleopimaric acid ( ≈50%) which did not react with maleic anhydride rosin acids; rosin-itaconic ac-id adduct, containing up to ≈50% of citraconopimaric ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Research of modified rosin usability in model compositions for precision molding [PDF]
The research result of the modified rosin as a component of model compositions for precision cast-ing is given in the article. The last five years successes in producing the latest products from rosin are reached.

Are rotating strange quark stars good sources of gravitational waves?
We study the viscosity driven (Jacobi-like) bar mode instability of rapidly rotating strange stars in general relativity. A triaxial, "bar shaped" compact star could be an efficient source of continuous wave gravitational radiation in the frequency range

Last orbits of binary strange quark stars [PDF]
We present the first relativistic calculations of the final phase of inspiral of a binary system consisting of two stars built predominantely of strange quark matter (strange quark stars).

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

The present study aimed to evaluate the Oleoresin quality in Chir-pine. It was observed that the main compounds of Chir-pine’s Oleoresin were Rosin, α and β-pinene with the highest percentage and are considered products with high commercial value. There

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
