Experimental analysis of bolted connections for precast concrete walls under cyclic tensile loading

open access: yesStructural Concrete, Volume 27, Issue 2, Page 2309-2327, April 2026.
Abstract Dry‐bolted connections in precast wall structures simplify the assembly process and offer significant advantages in terms of construction speed and cost. In fact, the reduction of the required workmanship, compared to wet connections, makes this solution highly competitive.

Influence of the depth of friction-welded dowels on the strength of rotary welded joints

open access: yesBioResources
One of the important factors in rotary welding is the depth of welding of the dowel as well as the direction of welding of the dowel. In the studied interval (welding depth of 15 to 30 mm), the pull-out force increased when welding the dowel parallel to the wood grain and perpendicular to the wood grain.
