Spatial Control of Light‐Responsive Proteins and Optogenetics Within Hydrogels via Volumetric Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Spatiotemporal control over cell behavior within bioprinted constructs remains a key challenge in biofabrication. Volumetric bioprinting using multi‐wavelength light sources permits to activate light‐sensitive intracellular proteins as well as optogenetic gene and protein expression circuits in bioprinted cells, in addition to enabling fast printing of

Stressed-deformed state of a rotating polar-orthotropic disk of constant thickness loaded with undistracted forces on the outer contour

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2019
The work gives a solution of the plane elasticity problem for a rotating polar-orthotropic annular disk of a constant  thickness. The disk is loaded with a system of identical undistracted forces on the outer contour applied evenly along  the rim and ...

Flow and heat transfer of nanofluids over a rotating disk with uniform stretching rate in the radial direction

open access: yes, 2017
This paper studies flow and heat transfer of nanofluids over a rotating disk with uniform stretching rate. Three types of nanoparticles-Cu, Al2O3 and CuO-with water-based nanofluids are considered.

Atom–Cluster Synergy in Scalable Fe–Ru Dual‐Site Architectures Accelerates Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanochemically synthesized dual‐site electrocatalyst (RuNC@Fe1NC) accelerates alkaline hydrogen evolution via atomic‐level spatial decoupling. Oxophilic Fe single atoms effectively dissociate water, while adjacent Ru nanoclusters rapidly recombine hydrogen.

Aspects of three-dimensional MHD : magnetic reconnection and rotating coronae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Solutions of the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations are very important for modelling laboratory, space and astrophysical plasmas, for example the solar and stellar coronae, as well as for modelling many of the dynamic processes that occur in these ...

Morphological Characterization of Spherulites in Silk‐Polycaprolactone Mixtures: Implications for Textured Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Blending silk fibroin with polycaprolactone alters crystalline organization and surface morphology. Low fibroin levels promote ring‐banded spherulites, while higher contents generate porous, pit‐like textures, though overall crystallinity remains unchanged. Solvent evaporation further modulates surface patterns.

Wavelet Transform-Based Damage Identification in Bladed Disks and Rotating Blades

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2018
Blade vibration and blade clearance are effective diagnostic features for the identification of blade damage in rotating machines. Blade tip-timing (BTT) is a noncontact method that is often used to monitor the vibration and clearance of blades in a ...

Rotating ring-disk electrode method

open access: yes, 2014
In this chapter, the importance of rotating ring-disk electrode (RRDE) fundamentals and practical usage in an oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) study is emphasized in terms of both the electron-transfer process on electrode surface, diffusion-convection ...
