Hydrothermal analysis of MHD nanofluid (TiO2-GO) flow between two radiative stretchable rotating disks using AGM

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2019
Nanofluid flow between two stretchable and rotating disks with homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions and Joule heating is investigated in existence of magnetic field. Thermal radiation effect has been considered in energy equation.

Programmable 3D Photovoltaics via Mechanically Origami‐Coded Interlocked 3D Kirigami and Nano‐Root Anchored AgNWs–In–Ga Multiphasic Alloy Conductor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Mechanically origami‐coded 3D kirigami photovoltaics convert a single extension–release cycle into deterministic self‐folding, reconfiguring planar solar cells into programmable 3D modules. Distinct coding strategies enable either ultrahigh stretchability (500% system strain) or ultrahigh initial effective areal coverage (225%).

Investigation of a Rotating Shaft with a Novel Integrated Wireless Accelerometer

open access: yes, 2010
Rotating shafts are the most critical components of rotating machines such as motors, pumps, engines and turbines. Due to their heavy workloads, defects are more likely to develop during operation.

Non-axisymmetric rotating-disk flows: Nonlinear travelling-wave states [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We consider the classical problem of the laminar flow of an incompressible rotating fluid above a rotating, impermeable, infinite disk. There is a well-known class of solutions to this configuration in the form of an exact axisymmetric solution to the ...

CS observations of L1551 - No rotating disk

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1987
High angular resolution observations were made of the CS emission from the core of the L1551 molecular cloud, using a technique of heavy oversampling and maximum entropy reconstruction. The observations are consistent with the data published by Kaifu et al.

Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

Rotating Disk Shape: Is the Equation Nonlinear?

open access: yes, 1989
The determination of the shape of a rotating disk under centrifugal loading is considered. It is shown that the governing differential equation for the shape of a rotating thin disk is reducible to a linear equation of second order with variable ...

Interfacial Acid Sites‐Mediated ZnO‐Based Electrocatalysts for Sustainable Dual‐Pathway H2O2 Production and Rechargeable Zn‐H2O2 Electrochemical Cell

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a synergistic strategy introduces interfacial acid sites, oxygen vacancies, and built‐in electric field into ZnSe/ZnO heterojunction to optimize its electronic structure and electrode micro‐environment. This overcomes sluggish oxygen reduction reaction kinetics and low H2O2 selectivity, achieving record H2O2 productivity (754.4 M gcat−1 ...
