No App, No Entry: Conceptualizing Digital Technology Captivity in Service Access
ABSTRACT We introduce Digital Technology Captivity (DTC), a form of consumer vulnerability that arises when digital technologies become the mandatory gateway to essential services. When access is tied to systems that feel unfamiliar, complex, or intimidating—and when preferred alternatives are limited—consumers may experience heightened vulnerability ...

Growth of Black Holes in the interior of Rotating Neutron Stars
Mini-black holes made of dark matter that can potentially form in the interior of neutron stars have been always thought to grow by accreting the matter of the core of the star via a spherical Bondi accretion.

Mars Science Helicopter Conceptual Design [PDF]
Robotic planetary aerial vehicles increase the range of terrain that can be examined, compared to traditional landers and rovers, and have more near-surface capability than orbiters. Aerial mobility is a promising possibility for planetary exploration as

HMGB1 Assists in Overcoming Cisplatin Resistance in Chemoresistant Human Ovarian Cancer Cells
ABSTRACT Cisplatin is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of ovarian cancer. However, the frequent development of cisplatin resistance remains a significant limitation, leading to therapeutic failure and poor patient outcomes.

Abstract Access to (urban) nature is vital for people's wellbeing, but this accessibility is not evenly spread across socio‐demographic groups, nor across the European continent. This paper fills a research gap by exploring the use patterns and accessibility of forests and parks across European cities, based on a standardised online survey of 10,462 ...

Rotating stall in variable geometry compressors
The design and operation of gas-turbine engines is heavily influenced by the off-design stability of the compressor, which limits obtainable performance and may result in aeroelastic vibration issues. Whilst Variable Stator Vanes (VSVs) are widely used to mitigate this problem, research considering the mismatching effect of VSVs away from their optimal

Active Control of Vaneless Diffuser Rotating Stalls.
Experiments were carried out to study the feasibility of active stabilization of vaneless diffuser rotating stalls. Pressure fluctuation at the diffuser inlet was monitored and used to control the rotating stall. A. C. controll flow, which is produced by a loud speaker, was introduced into the diffuser at the diffuser inlet.

Experimental evaluation of a TF30-P-3 turbofan engine in an altitude facility: Effect of steady-state temperature distortion [PDF]
The effects of circumferential distortion of the total temperature entering 25, 50, and 75 percent of the inlet circumferential annulus of a turbofan engine were determined.
