Rotation number of contracted rotations

open access: yesJournal of Modern Dynamics, 2018
Let 0 < lambda< 1. We consider the one-parameter family of circle lambda-affine contractions f(delta): x is an element of [0,1] -> lambda x + delta mod 1, where 0

Rotational smoothing [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2022
Rotational smoothing is a phenomenon consisting in a gain of regularity by means of averaging over rotations. This phenomenon is present in operators that regularize only in certain directions, in contrast to operators regularizing in all directions.

IS THE UNIVERSE ROTATING? [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2009
Models of a rotating universe have been studied widely since G{ }del \cite{1}, who showed an example that is consistent with General Relativity (GR). By now, the possibility of a rotating universe has been discussed comprehensively in the framework of some types of Bianchi's models, such as Type V, VII and IX \cite{2,3}, and different approaches have ...

ON COSMIC ROTATION [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We overview our recent studies of cosmological models with expansion and global rotation. Problems of the early rotating models are discussed, and the class of new viable cosmologies is described in detail. Particular attention is paid to the observational effects of the cosmic rotation.

Finite rotations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Physics Teacher, 1998
We discuss two basic properties of angular displacements, namely, the anticommutation of finite rotations, and the commutation of infinitesimal rotations, and show how commutation is achieved as the angular displacement gets smaller and smaller.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.
