Quantifying the Limits of TESS Stellar Rotation Measurements with the K2-TESS Overlap
The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) has provided stellar rotation periods across much of the sky through high-precision light curves, but the reliability and completeness of these measurements require careful evaluation.

On the Extraction of Optical Rotation Curves for Spiral Galaxies [PDF]
We discussed four different methods - the single, double and triple Gaussian fits, and the intensity weighted centroid fit - which extract rotation curves from several emission lines ([OII], Hβ, [OIII], and Hα) of spiral galaxies. Spatial extents and the

Efficacy of En Bloc Direct Vertebral Body Derotation (Dvbd) in Idiopathic Scoliosis Treatment
Introduction Vertebral axial rotation in horizontal plane is a component of spinal deformity in scoliosis. Greater axial rotation is related with inclination to curve progression, contributes to rib hump development.

We present a complete framework for galactic dynamics based on the Energy-Space Emergence (ESE) paradigm. Space is not empty – it is a quantized energy lattice with fundamental spacing α0 = 1.2 5× 10−1 0m. Mass is a cluster of space nodes. Gravity is node density gradient. Galaxy shape is determined by cen-tral mass and its rotation.

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Rotation Curves and Nonextensive Statistics
We investigate the influence of the nonextensive q-statistics and kinetic theory on galactic scales through the analysis of a devised sample of Spiral Rotation Curves. Largely supported by recent developments on the foundations of statistical mechanics and a plethora of astrophysical applications, the theory also provides an alternative interpretation ...

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Observational Biases on Rotation Curves from Integral Field Unit Data at Cosmic Noon
Through studying rotation curves, which depict how the velocity of the stars and gas changes with distance from the center of a galaxy, it has been confirmed that dark matter dominates galaxies’ outer regions, as their rotation curve remains flat ...

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...
