Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

The planetary spin and rotation period: A modern approach

open access: yes, 2013
Using a new approach, we have obtained a formula for calculating the rotation period and radius of planets. In the ordinary gravitomagnetism the gravitational spin ($S$) orbit ($L$) coupling, $\vec{L}\cdot\vec{S}\propto L^2$, while our model predicts ...

Day/night variations of myeloid and lymphoid cell subsets in the murine inguinal lymph node

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The circadian system is involved in the temporal regulation of the immune system. Our study reveals that two innate immune populations, NKT cells and neutrophils, predominate at the beginning of the day in healthy mice, highlighting how the time of day influences immune responses.

Detectability of Solar Rotation Period across Various Wavelengths

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
The light curves of old G dwarfs obtained in the visible and near-infrared wavelength ranges are highly irregular. This significantly complicates the detectability of the rotation periods of stars similar to the Sun in large photometric surveys, such as ...

Determination of economically optimal rotation age of (Popolus deltoides) in Guilan Province [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2013
The aim of this research was to determine the optimal rotation period in poplar, in which the net present value will be maximized regarding to the stumpage price, rate of interest and annual growth. Data such as annual growth, stumpage price and discount

THE COLOR–PERIOD DIAGRAM AND STELLAR ROTATIONAL EVOLUTION—NEW ROTATION PERIOD MEASUREMENTS IN THE OPEN CLUSTER M34 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present the results of a 5 month photometric time-series survey for stellar rotation periods combined with a 4 year radial-velocity survey for membership and binarity in the 220 Myr open cluster M34.

SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

Neptune's rotation period calculated

open access: yesEos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1981
Three scientists at Kitt Peak National Observatory have calculated that Neptune's rotation period is 18.2 hours plus or minus 24 minutes. This, the most accurate estimate to date, takes planetologists one step closer to understanding the distant planet's structure and chemical composition.

1E 1547.0–5408: A Radio-emitting Magnetar with a Rotation Period of 2 Seconds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The variable X-ray source 1E 1547.0-5408 was identified by Gelfand & Gaensler as a likely magnetar in G327.24-0.13, an apparent supernova remnant. No X-ray pulsations have been detected from it.
