Shape Reconstruction and Rotation Axis Estimation of Small Bodies Based on Structure-from-Motion [PDF]
Shape reconstruction and rotation axis estimation of small bodies essential for both engineering applications and scientific investigations. This paper presents a Structure-from-Motion-based (SFM) method for small body shape reconstruction and rotation ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Tropical Cyclones on Tidally Locked Rocky Planets: Dependence on Rotation Period
Tropical cyclones occur over the Earth’s tropical oceans, with characteristic genesis regions and tracks tied to the warm ocean surface that provide energy to sustain these storms.

The Rotation-Period of Mars [PDF]
IN the number of NATURE of November 26 (p. 81), Mr. Proctor mentions one or two points in my investigation of the rotation-period of Mars, requiring correction.

The rotation period of Neptune
Photometric observations of Neptune with a highly accurate doubly differential photometer, two filters centered in the 6190-A band of methane, and two immediately adjacent continuum filters centered at 5993 and 6332 A are reported which were performed in the interval from March 29 to August 8, 1977.

MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Stellar rotation--planetary orbit period commensurability in the HAT-P-11 system
A number of planet-host stars have been observed to rotate with a period equal to an integer multiple of the orbital period of their close planet. We expand this list by analyzing Kepler data of HAT-P-11 and finding a period ratio of 6:1.

Drift Effects and the Cosmic Ray Density Gradient in a Solar Rotation Period: First Observation with the Global Muon Detector Network (GMDN) [PDF]
We present for the first time hourly variations of the spatial density gradient of 50 GeV cosmic rays within a sample solar rotation period in 2006. By inversely solving the diffusive flux equation, including the drift, we deduce the gradient from the ...

Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.
