Rotating periodic solutions in complete degeneracy
Applied Mathematics Letters, 2022In this paper, the authors study the existence of \(Q_0\)-rotating periodic solutions on a class of perturbed systems in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). This kind of rotating periodic solutions has the from of \(X(t+T)=Q_0X(t)\) \(\forall t\in \mathbb{R}\) with \(T>0\) and \(Q_0\) an orthogonal matrix.

Nature, 1986
On 24 January 1986 the spacecraft Voyager 2 transversed the innermost magnetosphere of the planet Uranus, coming as close as 4.2 Uranus radii to the planet. It is pointed out that the magnetic field data provide a direct measure of the rotation period of the planet's interior, where the field is generated. Two period determinations are reported.

The Relativistic Quantum Periodically Driven Rotator
Physica Scripta, 2003Summary: The relativistic periodically driven quantum rotator problem is treated by solving the Dirac equation in the presence of the periodic S-function potential. The relativistic quantum mapping which describes the evolution of the wave function is derived.

Rotation of Load During the Prelift Period
Spine, 1991Lifting is a major source of back injuries because of the mechanical effects on the spinal structures. A number of methods are known by which a lifter can reduce the load on the spine during lifting. This study explores an additional method: rotation of the load before it is actually lifted off the ground.

Abstract The current belief that Jupiter's rotation period has recently lengthened by 0·8 sec is an error arising from a secular increase of duration of Jovian decametric storms. Periodograms based on the commencement time of decametric storms yield a constant period, 9 h 55 m 29·70 s ± 0·05 s.

Lossless rotation transformations with periodic structure
IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2005, 2005Two-point lossless rotation transformations are used on realizing lossless DCTs or lossless orthogonal wavelet transforms. However, the two-point lossless rotation transformations based on the ladder network do not have high compatibility with their non-lossless versions.

A modified spectroscopic technique was applied to determine the rotational period of Uranus and the orientation of the projected spin axis of the planet. The method consists in obtaining a series of spectra for both a nonrotated planet disk and for a disk rotated 180 degrees.

PERIODICITY AND RECURRENCE IN PIECEWISE ROTATIONS OF EUCLIDEAN SPACES
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2004We consider the behavior of piecewise isometries in Euclidean spaces. We show that if n is odd and the system contains no orientation reversing isometries then recurrent orbits with rational coding are not expected. More precisely, a prevalent set of piecewise isometries do not have recurrent points having rational coding.
