Asteroseismic measurement of surface-to-core rotation in a main-sequence A star, KIC 11145123 [PDF]
We have discovered rotationally split core g-mode triplets and surface p-mode triplets and quintuplets in a terminal age main-sequence A star, KIC 11145123, that shows both δ Sct p-mode pulsations and γ Dor g-mode pulsations.

Constraining the Rotation Profile in a Low-Luminosity Subgiant with a Surface Rotation Measurement [PDF]
Rotationally-induced mode splitting frequencies of low-luminosity subgiants suggest that angular momentum transport mechanisms are 1-2 orders of magnitude more efficient in these stars than predicted by theory.

Feature Based Particle Filter Registration of 3D Surface Models and its Application in Robotics [PDF]
This work is focused on global registration of surface models such as homogeneous triangle meshes and point clouds. The investigated approach utilizes feature descriptors in order to assign correspondences between the data sets and to reduce complexity ...

Asteroseismic measurement of slow, nearly uniform surface-to-core rotation in the main-sequence F star KIC 9244992 [PDF]
We have found a rotationally split series of core g-mode triplets and surface p-mode multiplets in a main-sequence F star, KIC 9244992. Comparison with models shows that the star has a mass of about 1.45 M , and is at an advanced stage of main-sequence ...

Surface Differential Rotation of Evolved Fast Rotators [PDF]
Zeeman-Doppler Imaging enables one to estimate the short term temporal evolution of surface brightness and magnetic structures, under the effect of differential rotation. We present here spectropolarimetric observations secured between 1998 and 2002 for two evolved active stars: the K1 subgiant of the RS CVn system HR 1099 and the single FK Com giant ...

Improved asteroseismic inversions for red-giant surface rotation rates [PDF]
Asteroseismic observations of internal stellar rotation have indicated a substantial lack of angular momentum transport in theoretical models of subgiant and red-giant stars.
