Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

The Effect of Drill Rotational Speed on Drilling Resistance in Non-Destructive Testing of Concrete
Drilling resistance (DR) measurement is a promising non-destructive technique for evaluating the mechanical properties of concrete. However, the reliability and repeatability of DR measurements are still limited by an insufficient understanding of how ...

Apparent length of a rotating arc-line as a function of speed of rotation
Abstract Magnitude estimates were obtained of 3, 6, 9 and 12 cm illuminated arcs rotating at 30, 45, 60 and 75 r.p.m. in a path of rotation twelve degrees from the point of fixation. The Ansbacher Shrinkage Effect was obtained, there being a tendency for greater shrinkage with increase in speed.

Position control under simultaneous limited torque and speed of a torque-driven nonlinear rotational mechanism [PDF]
"This paper deals with shaft displacement regulation (position control) of a torque-driven nonlinear gravity unbalanced mechanism under both prescribed bounded torque and speed. This is a novel control objective formulation for mechanisms.

On Critical Speeds Induced by Ball Bearings in Lower Rotating Speeds
When single-row radial ball bearings are used, several critical speeds take place in a vertical shaft at certain rotating speeds lower than the major critical speed. When the bearing center line of both bearing pedestals is not in alignment and the shaft is not in a perfectly straight line, there is the possibility that these critical speeds occur. The

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...
