In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Self-mixing interferometry for rotational speed measurement of servo drives

open access: yes, 2016
Self-mixing interferometry (SMI) is an efficient technique applied to measure distance, velocity, displacement, and vibration. In this work, a compact and low cost SMI is applied to measure the rotational speed of a servo drive up to 6000 RPM.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Molecular alignment echoes probing collision-induced rotational-speed changes

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceWe show that the decays with pressure of the rotational alignment echoes induced in N 2 O-He gas mixtures by two ultrashort laser pulses with various delays show detailed information about collision-induced changes of the rotational

Rotational Speed Measurement through Image Similarity Evaluation and Spectral Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Accurate and reliable measurement of rotational speed is desirable in a variety of industries. This paper presents a rotational speed measurement system based on a low-cost imaging device with a simple marker on the rotor.

Study The Effect of Rotational Speed and Pouring Temperature on the Distribution of Si in Functionally Graded Material Produced by Centrifugal Casting [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2014
The aim of this study was to prepare a functionally graded material using centrifugal casting process and study the effect of process parameters (the rotational speed of casting mold and overheating temperature) on the microstructure of a hypereutectic ...

Analysis of the Effect of Magnetic Thickness and Rotating Speed on PMSG 24 Slot 16 Pole Characteristics

open access: yesProtek: Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Elektro, 2023
Wind energy is one of the alternative energies that can overcome global warming caused by fossil energy. Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) has a higher efficiency compared to other types of generators.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
