Surface gravity of rotating dumbbell shapes [PDF]
We investigate the problem of determining the shape of a rotating celestial object - e.g., a comet or an asteroid - under its own gravitational field. More specifically, we consider an object symmetric with respect to one axis - such as a dumbbell - that rotates around a second axis perpendicular to the symmetry axis.

Rotational Projection Statistics for 3D Local Surface Description and Object Recognition [PDF]
Recognizing 3D objects in the presence of noise, varying mesh resolution, occlusion and clutter is a very challenging task. This paper presents a novel method named Rotational Projection Statistics (RoPS).

Modeling and analysis of a novel rotational magnetorheological abrasive flow finishing process
The present work proposes a new non-conventional machining process. The proposed method is a combination of magneto-rheological finishing and rotational abrasive flow finishing process.

Surface Differential Rotation of Evolved Fast Rotators [PDF]
Zeeman-Doppler Imaging enables one to estimate the short term temporal evolution of surface brightness and magnetic structures, under the effect of differential rotation. We present here spectropolarimetric observations secured between 1998 and 2002 for two evolved active stars: the K1 subgiant of the RS CVn system HR 1099 and the single FK Com giant ...

Rotational surfaces in isotropic spaces satisfying weingarten conditions
In this paper, we study the rotational surfaces in the isotropic 3-space 𝕀3 satisfying Weingarten conditions in terms of the relative curvature K (analogue of the Gaussian curvature) and the isotropic mean curvature H.
