Aero-acoustic performance of a continuous transonic wind-tunnel axial-flow compressor
A three-stage axial-flow compressor was developed for a continuous transonic wind tunnel. The rotor-stator spacing and the ratio of number of rotor blades to number of stator vanes were properly chosen for the purpose of aero-acoustic noise suppression ...

Upstream-radiated rotor–stator interaction noise in mean swirling flow [PDF]
A major component of the noise in modern aeroengines is rotor–stator interaction noise generated when the wake from the rotating fan impinges on a stator row downstream.

Experimental characterisation of rotor noise in tandem configuration [PDF]
This paper presents a comprehensive investigation into the noise radiation characteristics of two rotors in a tandem configuration. Through an extensive experimental campaign, the study explores the effect of the separation distance between two rotors on the noise directivity patterns, spectral characteristics and temporal features of the radiated ...

Measured and calculated characteristics of wind turbine noise [PDF]
The results of an analytical and experimental investigation of wind turbine noise are presented. Noise calculations indicate that for configurations with the rotor downwind of the support tower, the primary source of noise is the rapid change in rotor ...
