2011This article analyses the jurisdiction and arbitration chapters of the The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea (Rotterdam Rules). The chapters on jurisdiction and arbitration are based on a generally accepted compromise to encourage international harmonization.
