Naturally‐occurring nematicides of plant origin: two decades of novel chemistries

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 2, Page 540-571, February 2025.
A review of structure–activity correlations for 262 plant‐derived nematicidal compounds for controlling plant parasitic nematodes is presented. Chemical structures, sources, and isolation procedures are summarized based on the major chemical groups. Abstract Plant‐parasitic nematodes are among the most destructive plant pathogens, resulting in a global

Changes in the population and diversity of plant parasitic nematodes and their effects on sugarcane growth at Wonji‐Shoa Sugar Estate, Ethiopia

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 7, Issue 4, December 2024.
Abstract In Wonji‐Shoa Sugar Estate (WSSE), sugarcane (Saccharum spp. hybrid) yields have declined by about 48% over the last 70 years. One of the causes for the decline is assumed to be the long‐term monoculture production system that results in the buildup of plant parasitic nematodes (PPNs).

The Biology of Rotylenchulus macrodoratus.

open access: yesJournal of nematology, 2011
Rotylenchulus macrodoratus completed its embryogenic development in about 16-19 days at 18-32 C. On olive seedlings the life-cycle from egg to egg was completed in 45-55 days. The first molt occurred in the egg while the other three were superimposed, with retention of successive larval cuticles.

Effect of Crop Rotations on Rotylenchulus reniformis Population Structure [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Disease, 2012
Rotylenchulus reniformis is a highly variable nematode species and an economically important pest in many cotton fields across the south-eastern United States. Rotation with resistant or poor host crops is a method for management of reniform nematode.
