In Situ Quantization with Memory‐Transistor Transfer Unit Based on Electrochemical Random‐Access Memory for Edge Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By combining ionic nonvolatile memories and transistors, this work proposes a compact synaptic unit to enable low‐precision neural network training. The design supports in situ weight quantization without extra programming and achieves accuracy comparable to ideal methods. This work obtains energy consumption advantage of 25.51× (ECRAM) and 4.84× (RRAM)

HybridEval: An Improved Novel Hybrid Metric for Evaluation of Text Summarization

open access: yesJournal of Informatics and Web Engineering
The present work re-evaluates the evaluation method for text summarization tasks. Two state-of-the-art assessment measures e.g., Recall-Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation (ROUGE) and Bilingual Evaluation Understudy (BLEU) are discussed along with

Growth of Omnichannel Grocery Retailing and Food Prices

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the effects of the growth of omnichannel grocery retailing on food prices. We first develop a conceptual model of consumer choice and retailer pricing that allows us to evaluate changes in equilibrium prices, quantities, and profits with online channel growth and alternative pricing strategies.

L’installation périurbaine entre risque de captivité et opportunités d’autonomisation

open access: yesArticulo: Journal of Urban Research, 2010
Previous research done in the context of a PhD dissertation showed how gaining access to property in outer suburban areas can prove to be disappointing, even painful, to lower-middle-class families living on one income.

Proteomic Analysis of Golden Sputum Reveals Pulmonary Complement Activation During Acute Chest Syndrome in Children With Sickle Cell Disease

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute chest syndrome (ACS) is one of the most common severe complications of sickle cell disease (SCD). In recent years, a major role of inflammation and innate immunity has been evidenced, but ACS pathophysiology remains incompletely understood, and therapeutic options are limited.

Early synapsids neurosensory diversity revealed by CT and synchrotron scanning

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Non‐mammaliaform synapsids (NMS) represent the closest relatives of today's mammals among the early amniotes. Exploring their brain and nervous system is key to understanding how mammals evolved. Here, using CT and Synchrotron scanning, we document for the first time three extreme cases of neurosensory and behavioral adaptations that probe ...

The cranial, mandibular, and hyoid anatomy of softshell turtles (Trionychidae): A revised character list for phylogenetic analysis

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Softshell turtles (Pan‐Trionychidae) are an early branching clade of hidden‐necked turtles (Cryptodira) with a rich fossil record extending back to the Early Cretaceous. The evolutionary history of softshell turtles is still unresolved because of their conservative morphology combined with high levels of polymorphism related to morphological ...
