Thermal Transfer Printing Strategy for Mechanically Robust Wash‐Durable Electronic Textiles via Dual Cross‐Linking and Mechanical Interlocking

open access: yesSmartMat, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
A thermal transfer printing strategy is presented for fabricating mechanically robust, wash‐durable electronic textiles. A dual‐crosslinked PEDOT:PSS composite combines molecular stabilization with TPU‐mediated interfacial compatibility, while molten hot‐melt adhesive penetrates textile pores to create mechanical interlocking.

Wear‐Mode‐Dependent Tribological Performance of Glass Fiber‐Reinforced Epoxy Composites Modified With Graphene Nanoplatelets

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 14, Page 12416-12427, 20 July 2026.
Graphical representation of the wear‐mode‐dependent tribological behavior of graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) modified glass fiber‐reinforced epoxy composites, highlighting the distinct mechanisms governing dry sliding wear and solid particle erosion. ABSTRACT Glass fiber‐reinforced epoxy composites are widely used in structural applications where surface ...

Lithium‐Doped Silk Fibroin Enables Wide‐Dynamic‐Range Electrochemical Lactate Sensing in Sweat

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 7, July 2026.
Silk fibroin doped with LiOTf enhances electrochemical biosensing by preserving β‐sheet structure while improving adhesion, ionic transport, and signal response. The resulting lactate biosensor exhibits high stability and accurate sweat analysis, enabling reliable wearable monitoring. This strategy provides a scalable route to advance robust silk‐based

Pierceable, Water‐Resistant, and Transparent Nanofilm Electrodes Comprising Carbon Nanotubes for Long‐Term Monitoring of Plant Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 32, 9 June 2026.
Ultra‐flexible electrodes composed of single‐walled carbon nanotubes on a polymeric substrate exhibit excellent transparency, water resistance, and conformability to hairy surfaces. These non‐invasive nanofilms are easily pierced by trichomes, overcoming the structural barriers in plant electrophysiology.

Size Scaling of the Electrochemical Performance of Ti3C2Tx MXene Microelectrode Arrays for Electrophysiological Recording and Stimulation

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 36, 26 June 2026.
This study evaluates Ti3C2Tx MXene‐based microelectrodes across a range of diameters (25–500 µm) and elucidates their recording and stimulation capabilities for bioelectronic applications. Several electrochemical measurements—supported further by equivalent‐circuit modeling—revealed enhanced recording and stimulation capabilities of the MXene ...

Nitric Oxide‐Generating Poly (allylamine hydrochloride) Coating on Biomedical Titanium Implant

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 10, 19 May 2026.
We report a metal‐free, nitric oxide (NO)‐generating coating in which poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) is covalently immobilized onto titanium. The coating catalyzes NO generation from the endogenous S‐nitrosothiol GSNO, retains activity after multiple reuse cycles and pH exposures, and maintains endothelial cell viability while modulating ...

Decomposing Dual Scale Soil Surface Roughness for Microwave Remote Sensing Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Soil surface roughness, as investigated in this study, is decomposed in a dual scale process. Therefore, we investigated photogrammetrically acquired roughness information over different agricultural fields in the size of 6-22 m(2) and decomposed them ...
