Rough Sets

International Journal of Computer & Information Sciences, 1982
Summary: We investigate in this paper approximate operations on sets, approximate equality of sets, and approximate inclusion of sets. The presented approach may be considered as an alternative to fuzzy set theory and tolerance theory. Some applications are outlined.

Rough Relational Operators and Rough Entropy in Rough Relational Database

2009 Second International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, 2009
The relational database model (RDM), proposed by Codd, has been proven to be a very useful model in many applications. The inherent of the RDM is effective for precise and unambiguous data. However, real world applications often include imprecise and uncertain information. Therefore, Beaubouef et al.

Rough Grammars

Fundamenta Informaticae, 1985
In the paper we define the notions of the best lower and the best upper approximations of grammar, which are based on the concept of rough set introduced by Pawlak in [4]. Furthermore we give the properties of languages generated by the best lower and the best upper approximations of grammar.

Rough Consequence and Rough Algebra

1994
A notion of rough consequence is investigated in detail. Two algebraic structures emerge from the modal system S5. Properties of these structures, called rough algebras, have been studied. A link between rough consequence and one of the rough algebras is established.

Rough Properties of Rough Graph

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
Based on the definition of rough graph, this paper makes further research on rough properties of rough graph. The concept of edge precision is presented to measure rough properties of rough graph. Furthermore, by using rough equal and rough similarity degree, different rough graphs are compared. Some basic conclusions are presented.

Rough Numbers and Rough Regression

2011
In this article a new model of regression is defined. On the basis of the rough sets theory a notion of rough number is defined. Typical real numbers calculations do not keep the additional information like the uncertainty or the error of input data. Rough numbers remove this limitation.

Rough paths and rough volatility
