A note on the acceptability of regression solutions: another look at computational accuracy. [PDF]
This note examines the experiment performed by Beaton, Rubin, and Barone (1976) to study the effect of rounding errors in published figures, when these data are used in regression analysis.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

To improve the applications of indium tin oxide (ITO) films, higher measurement requirements are implemented due to the significant effects of more complicated stress states and limitations of testing conditions on the mechanical properties. In this work,

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

SI‐bioATRP in Mesoporous Silica for Size‐Exclusion Driven Local Polymer Placement
An enzyme‐catalyzed surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐bioATRP) of an anionic monomer within mesoporous silica particles, using hemoglobin as a catalyst, allows for controlling the location of the formed polymer via size‐exclusion effects between the nanopores and the biomacromolecules, thereby opening routes to functional ...

We propose a simple distributed algorithm for balancing indivisible tokens on graphs. The algorithm is completely deterministic, though it tries to imitate (and enhance) a random algorithm by keeping the accumulated rounding errors as small as possible.

Statistical Rounding Error Analysis for Random Matrix Computations
The conventional rounding error analysis provides worst-case bounds with an associated failure probability and ignores the statistical property of the rounding errors. In this paper, we develop a new statistical rounding error analysis for random matrix computations.

A note on rounding-error analysis of Cholesky factorization
The computed Cholesky factor \(L\) of a given symmetric positive definite \(n\times n\) matrix \(A\) fulfills \(LL^ T=A+E\). \textit{J. H. Wilkinson} [Tr. Mezhdunarod. Kongr. Mat., Moskva 1966, 629--640 (1968; Zbl 0197.13301)] has given a bound for \(\| E\|_ 2\). In this paper a sharper bound is given for \(\| E\|_ F\).
