Reversing the row order for the row-by-row frontal method [PDF]

open access: yesNumerical Linear Algebra with Applications, 2000
The efficiency of the row-by-row frontal method for the solution of unsymmetric sparse systems of linear equations is dependent on the row ordering used. Numerical experience has suggested that it can be advantageous to reverse a given row ordering.

Rowing as an aerobic and resistance exercise for elderly people

open access: yesJournal of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine, 2012
Aerobic and resistance exercises are recommended for elderly people to help maintain their health. Rowing involves almost all of the muscles in the body and may have elements of both aerobic and resistance exercise.

SPEED-STRENGTH RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ROWING ON ERGOMETER AND CLEAN PULL EXERCISE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Sports Sciences, 2019
Speed-strength qualities are significant for obtaining high power, especially in sports such as rowing. There are few surveys quoted in literature on multi-joint movements with increasing load in the training and competitive range of intensity where the ...

The Effect of Inspiratory Muscle Warm-Up on VO2 Kinetics during Submaximal Rowing

open access: yesSports, 2021
The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of an inspiratory muscle warm-up on the VO2 kinetics during submaximal intensity ergometer rowing. Ten competitive male rowers (age 23.1 ± 3.8 years; height 188.1 ± 6.3 cm; body mass 85.6 ± 6.6 kg) took ...

Development and Experiment of an Innovative Row-Controlled Device for Residual Film Collector to Drive Autonomously along the Ridge

open access: yesSensors, 2023
The field harvesting process of harvesting machinery is often affected by high workload and environmental factors that can impede/delay manual rowing, thereby leading to lower efficiency and quality in the residual film collector.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
