Chapter 15 Āśramas, Shrines and Royal Power

open access: yes, 2023
The Angkorian World explores the history of Southeast Asia’s largest ancient state from the first to mid-second millennium CE. Chapters by leading scholars combine evidence from archaeology, texts, and the natural sciences to introduce the Angkorian state, describe its structure, and explain its persistence over more than six centuries.

Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

La résistance de Lyon à Law

open access: yesCahiers Jean Moulin, 2015
In 1715, Lyons’s opposition to Law’s bank and paper money system is based on two arguments. The first one concerns the opposition to the bank itself. The second one contests the very settlement in Lyons.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Comparative Study of Divine Kingship in Ur III Dynasty Mesopotamia and China in the Shang Dynasty

open access: yesReligions
This article presents a comparative analysis of divine kingship in two foundational Bronze Age civilizations: the Ur III Dynasty of Mesopotamia (ca. 2112–2004 BC) and the Shang Dynasty of China (ca. 1600–1046 BC).

Evidence of two unique variability classes from IGR J17091-3624

open access: yes, 2012
IGR J17091-3624 is the second black hole X-ray binary after GRS 1915+105, which showed large and distinct variabilities. The study of these variability classes can be useful to understand the accretion-ejection mechanisms of accreting black holes, and ...

Unlocking Photodetection Mode Switching from a Simple Lateral Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A simple lateral 2D perovskite photodetector capable of switching among transient, continuous, and dual transient/continuous photoresponse modes is achieved by integrating photoconductive effects with capacitive coupling from the SiO2/Si substrate. Such light‐programmable photodetection mode switching enables triple‐channel information transmission and

Politische Theologie in den Knigspsalmen zwischen gypten und Assyrien Die Herrscherlegitimation in den Psalmen 2 und 18 in ihren altorientalischen Kontexten

open access: yesVerbum et Ecclesia, 2004
This article deals especially with Psalm 2* and Psalm 18* and they are understood against a neo-Assyrian context. During the latter part of the eight and the first half of the seventh century the neo-Assyrian power was especially felt in Judah and ...

Record Energy Storage Performance Metrics in Ferroelectric Hafnia‐Based Films through Heterostructure Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dielectric capacitors typically struggle to achieve both high energy storage density and high efficiency at applied voltages below 10 V. Here, we address this challenge by introducing a novel hybrid fluorite/perovskite heterostructure design that combines ultra‐high recoverable energy storage density with efficient energy release (Uf ≈ 1016 J/cm3), at ...
