RR Lyrae stars with variable mean magnitudes [PDF]
Context. A number of RR Lyrae stars exhibit variable mean magnitudes in the OGLE survey light curves of the Galactic bulge. Hitherto, this phenomenon has not been studied, as it was generally assumed to be related to photometric issues. Aims.

Some twenty years have passed since the decision was taken by the General Assembly of IAU in 1958 to resume a regular control of light variation stability in RR Lyrae stars. With this end in view the revision of elements is carried out at the Odessa Astronomical Observatory yearly, whereas ephemerides of RR Lyrae stars are published at the Krakov ...

Identifying RR Lyrae Variable Stars in Six Years of the Dark Energy Survey [PDF]
Abstract We present a search for RR Lyrae stars using the full six-year data set from the Dark Energy Survey covering ∼5000 deg2 of the southern sky. Using a multistage multivariate classification and light-curve template-fitting scheme, we identify RR Lyrae candidates with a median of 35 observations per candidate.

THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITIONS OF VARIABLE FIELD HORIZONTAL-BRANCH STARS: RR LYRAE STARS [PDF]
We present a detailed abundance study of 11 RR Lyrae ab-type variables: AS Vir, BS Aps, CD Vel, DT Hya, RV Oct, TY Gru, UV Oct, V1645 Sgr, WY Ant, XZ Aps, and Z Mic.High resolution and high S/N echelle spectra of these variables were obtained with 2.5 m du Pont telescope at the Las Campanas Observatory.

Analysis of pulsating variable stars using the visibility graph algorithm. [PDF]
We study the light curves of pulsating variable stars using a complex network approach to build visibility graphs. We consider various types of variables stars (e.g., Cepheids, δ Scuti, RR Lyrae), build two types of graphs (the normal visibility graph ...

RR Lyrae Stars and Anomalous Cepheids as Population Tracers in Local Group Galaxies
We discuss the use and importance of pulsating variable stars as population tracers in Local Group galaxies. Among bright variable crossing the classical instability strip, we mostly focus on RR Lyrae stars and Anomalous Cepheids.

RR Lyrae Variable Stars in the Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy Leo I [PDF]
We report the discovery of a significant population of RR Lyrae variables in the dwarf spheroidal galaxy Leo I. Based on 40 V and 22 B images of the galaxy taken using the ESO Wide Field Imager we have identified so far 74 candidate RR Lyrae's in two CCD's hosting the main body of the galaxy.

Nonradial modes in RR Lyrae stars from the OGLE Collection of Variable Stars [PDF]
The Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE) is a great source of top-quality photometry of classical pulsators. Collection of variable stars from the fourth part of the project contains more than 38 000 RR Lyrae stars. These stars pulsate mostly in the radial fundamental mode (RRab), in radial first overtone (RRc) or in both modes ...
