An Application of Polynomial on RS Codes

open access: yesJournal of Research in Applied Mathematics
In this paper we discuss a class of codes called RS Codes are subset of BCH Code and linear block codes can be constructed to be multiple error-correcting. We use application of polynomial on RS Codes and apply them using Maple.

Multiple-symbol interleaved RS codes and two-pass decoding algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesChina Communications, 2016
For communication systems with heavy burst noise, an optimal Forward Error Correction (FEC) scheme is expected to have a large burst error correction capacity while simultaneously owning moderate random error correction capability. This letter presents a new FEC scheme based on multiple-symbol interleaved Reed-Solomon codes and an associated two-pass ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Analisa Kinerja Pengkodean Kanal Type Reed Solomon Coding pada Kualitas Transmisi Citra

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro, 2018
In the telecommunication systems, the data like audio, image, and video are transmitted to a receiver through a communication channel. However, the presence of noise and fading in the channel will degrade its performance. The degradation may cause error

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Applied quasi-cyclic LDPC codes from doubly-extended RS code and cyclic MDS code

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2008
Based on doubly-extended RS codes and cyclic MDS codes, two construction schemes were proposed for ap-plied quasi-cyclic LDPC codes whose Tanner graph is free of 4-cycles.In the first approach, all the nonzero codewords within a doubly-extended RS code ...

FACHS: Adaptive Hybrid Storage Strategy Based on File Access Characteristics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
With the widespread use of distributed systems and the development of big data technology, the storage redundancy, data availability and persistence of distributed systems have become a concern.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 regulates cell adhesion and membrane protrusive activity of ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
