Unlocking Exceptional Strengthening in Aluminum Alloys via Interstitial Cottrell Atmosphere Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cyclic unloading‐aging‐reloading micro‐tensile tests under various aging durations and temperatures, combined with comprehensive microstructural characterization reveal that the yield point phenomenon in Aluminum‐Carbon (Al‐C) thin films originates from Cottrell atmosphere formation.

Analysis of Channel Coding Performance in OFDM Technique for Underwater Acoustic Communication System

open access: yesEmitter: International Journal of Engineering Technology, 2013
One way to increase the performance of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing System (OFDM) system is by adding a channel coding (error correction code) in order to detect and correct errors that occur when sending data.At communication of acoustic ...

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Vorticity‐Driven µ‐Platelet Rotation and Selective Packing for Vertical Thermal–Electrical Interconnects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a capillary‐filtering‐based particle‐filling (CFPF) process that simultaneously forms vertical thermal pathways and electrical vias within µ‐pores. In situ microfluidic analysis reveals that capillary‐driven velocity gradients generate vorticity that governs µ‐platelet rotation and vertical alignment.

Suboptimal soft-decision decoding for some RS-codes

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1998
A novel soft-decision algorithm is presented for Reed-Solomon (RS) codes, based on the reordering of the symbols of the received word according to some measure of reliability. The simulation results show that improvements in coding gain of > 1 dB are possible when compared to similar decoding algorithms using unsorted received words.

Janus Photonic Graphics by Stratified Assembly of Two Distinct Colloids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Double‐sided Janus photonic micropatterns with vivid structural colors are fabricated through a single‐step bottom‐up strategy. Density‐driven stratification and depletion‐mediated crystallization of PMMA and PS binary colloids lead to exclusive lattices on opposite surfaces under centrifugal force.

Thermally Pre‐Formed Reconfigurable Resistive Random‐Access Memory Crossbar Arrays: A Dual‐Mode Platform for Robust Physically Unclonable Functions and In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable RRAM platform utilizing thermally pre‐formed filaments (TPFs) is developed to realize robust hardware security. By exploiting the thermodynamic stochasticity of TPFs, exceptionally reliable physically unclonable functions (PUFs) are achieved.

Performance Analysis of Outer RS Coding Scheme [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Outer Reed Solomon (RS) Code was proposed in [1] and further analyzed in [2]. The following results are based on simulator [2] analyzing the influence of different performance metrics, MCS, and channels: * PER/Throughput vs. Eb/N0 or SNR: * BPSK/QPSK/16-QAM/64-QAM and different coding rates * AWGN, highway LoS and NLoS Results show that carful ...
