Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

A simplified procedure for correcting both errors and erasures of a Reed-Solomon code using the Euclidean algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes
It is well known that the Euclidean algorithm or its equivalent, continued fractions, can be used to find the error locator polynomial and the error evaluator polynomial in Berlekamp's key equation needed to decode a Reed-Solomon (RS) code.

Performance-Complexity-Latency Trade-Offs of Concatenated RS-BCH Codes

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications
Performance-complexity-latency trade-off curves for rate-0.88 concatenated outer Reed–Solomon codes and inner Chase-algorithm-based soft-decision Bose–Ray-Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem codes with PAM4 constellation using bit-interleaved coded modulation and multilevel coding coded modulation schemes over the AWGN channel are presented.

An Efficient CDMA System Based on Reed Solomon Code (RS Code)

open access: yes, 2018
Accurate Error control is a necessary constraint for the design of Cellular Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems. The Block codes can correct twice as many erasures as errors; the coded performance can be improved. In this paper, we propose ‘An efficient Error correcting coding in CDMA systems. The system performance is improved using FEC based

Observation of Two‐Photon Resonant Raman Scattering via the Biexciton Level in Two‐Dimensional Halide Perovskite (C6H5C2H4NH3)2PbI4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Efficient two‐photon resonant Raman scattering (TRRS) is observed in the layered perovskite (PEA)2PbI4, with the biexciton level acting as an intermediate state. TRRS undergoes two‐photon frequency shift upon input frequency tuning, persists up to 90 K, and shows clear threshold behavior and polarization selection rules.

Fast transform decoding of nonsystematic Reed-Solomon codes [PDF]

open access: yes
A Reed-Solomon (RS) code is considered to be a special case of a redundant residue polynomial (RRP) code, and a fast transform decoding algorithm to correct both errors and erasures is presented.

Microfluidic Modeling of Macrophage‐Induced Cardiac Inflammation Using NF‐κB Reporter Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A cardiac inflammation model was developed to enable real‐time analysis of macrophage‐cardiomyocyte interactions using NF‐κB‐reporter cardiomyocytes and a microfluidic co‐culture system. A MATLAB‐based model was implemented to optimize cell density and medium resupply based on TNFα diffusion kinetics. Activation thresholds and stress responses in NF‐κB‐

Performance Analysis of Coded $M$-ary Orthogonal Signaling Using Errors-and Erasures Decoding Over Frequency-Selective Fading Channels

open access: yes, 2001
The performance of $M$-ary orthogonal signaling schemes employing Reed–Solomon (RS) codes and redundant residue number system (RRNS) codes is investigated over frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels.

Organelle Localization‐Induced Bio‐Orthogonal Polymerization (OLIBOP) for Photostable Super‐Resolution Live‐Cell Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Organelle localization‐induced biorthogonal polymerization enables direct synthesis of photostable poly‐AIEgens within targeted organelles for super‐resolution live‐cell imaging. ABSTRACT Real‐time monitoring of dynamic biological processes demands fluorescent probes that can withstand prolonged light exposure without photobleaching—a critical ...
