SNPP VIIRS RSB on-orbit radiometric calibration algorithms Version 2.0 and the performances, part 1: the algorithms

, 2020
. The first VIIRS instrument is aboard the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership satellite. The instrument has 14 reflective solar bands (RSBs) to passively collect photons reflected from the Earth surface in the design wavelengths from 412 to 2250 ...

Following the Ground States of Full‐RSB Spherical Spin Glasses

Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, 2018
We focus on spherical spin glasses whose Parisi distribution has support of the form [0, q]. For such models we construct paths from the origin to the sphere that consistently remain close to the ground‐state energy on the sphere of corresponding radius.

Is the Riemann Zeta Function in a Short Interval a 1-RSB Spin Glass?

Infotech@Aerospace Conference, 2017
Fyodorov, Hiary & Keating established an intriguing connection between the maxima of log-correlated processes and the ones of the Riemann zeta function on a short interval of the critical line.

Aeration-assisted removal of tetracycline from wastewater by biochar: mechanisms and cost-benefit analysis.

Environmental Research
The synergistic removal of antibiotics from wastewater by biochar adsorption and degradation under aeration-driven conditions is limited so far, and its feasibility has not been evaluated through a cost-benefit analysis.

Sustainable Soil Management under Drought Stress through Biochar Application: Immobilizing Arsenic, Ameliorating Soil Quality, and Augmenting Plant Growth.

Environmental Research
Rise in climate change-induced drought occurrences have amplified pollution of metal(loid)s, deteriorated soil quality, and deterred growth of crops. Rice straw-derived biochars (RSB) and cow manure-enriched biochars (CEB) were used in the investigation (

Enhancing soil redox dynamics: Comparative effects of Fe-modified biochar (N-Fe and S-Fe) on Fe oxide transformation and Cd immobilization.

Environmental Pollution
Biochar and modified biochar have gained wide attention for Cd-contaminated soil remediation. This study investigates the effects of rape straw biochar (RSB), sulfur-iron modified biochar (S-FeBC), and nitrogen-iron modified biochar (N-FeBC) on soil Fe ...
