Resistance Realized Heritability and Fitness Cost of Cyproflanilide in Rice Stem Borer, Chilo suppressalis (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)

open access: yesAgronomy
The rice stem borer (RSB) Chilo suppressalis is a devastating rice pest with resistance to a number of insecticides. Recently, the new meta-diamide insecticide cyproflanilide has been considered an effective insecticide to control RSB.

3D Chromatin Architecture Provides Insights Into Leaf Trait Variation Among Pear Species

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Three‐dimensional (3D) chromatin architecture plays a fundamental role in eukaryotic gene regulations, its functional significance in perennial fruit trees remains poorly characterized despite extensive applications in crop genomics. Here, we developed high‐resolution (∼5 kb) Hi‐C maps of Pyrus and compared 3D genomic architecture of three ...

SNPP VIIRS RSB earth view reflectance uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) satellite uses its 14 reflective solar bands to passively collect solar radiant energy reflected off the Earth. The Level 1 product is the geolocated and radiometrically calibrated top-of-the-atmosphere solar reflectance.

Systematic orientation of fresh rectal suction biopsies improves histopathological diagnostics in hirschsprung’s disease – a method description and preliminary report

open access: yesBMC Pediatrics, 2023
Background Optimizing rectal suction biopsy (RSB) diagnostics in Hirschsprung’s disease (HD) may shorten diagnostic time and prevent need for repeated biopsies. Aim To explore whether systematic orientation of fresh RSB specimens increased biopsy quality,

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Parametric analysis of RSB sensors for concrete strength monitoring using hybrid EMI and WP techniques: Numerical investigation

open access: yes, 2023
The strength of concrete after its casting increases with time up to a certain limit due to continuous hydration reactions in the cement matrix. To measure the rate of strength development and ultimate capacity of concrete, a novel health monitoring ...
